Tucked away in Grand Central Market is this little cevicheria that feels like it was just dropped into LA straight from Baja. Their ceviches and tostadas are rave-worthy but don't miss out on their fish tacos or cocteles.

This cozy and casual American eatery is housed in a former Los Angeles Fire Department fire station on Figueroa Street that was originally built in 1912. It served as an operating fire station until it was closed in 1967 before being renovated into its current form as a restaurant serving up food based on recipes from American fire houses.

This family-owned and operated restaurant has been serving up Persian food to DTLA since 1985, and one meal here will explain why they've been around for so long. The ambiance is warm and cozy and their food tastes like it was prepared with the love and care of someone's Mediterranean home kitchen.
