LA Film Festival Opens Thursday!
June 16-26, 2011 • Downtown Los Angeles

Don't miss the LA Film Fest! The Festival kicks off on June 16 with the world premiere of Richard Linklater's Bernie sponsored by Virgin America and starring Jack Black, Shirley MacLaine, and Matthew McConaughey. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, co-written and produced by Festival Guest Director Guillermo del Toro, starring Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce will close the Festival on June 26. In-between, enjoy special events and conversations including three nights of outdoor screenings at the Ford Amphitheatre sponsored by Brand X, conversations with Jack Black & Shirley MacLaine, James Franco, Julie Taymor, and Remembering Sidney Lumet.

Wait, there's more! In addition to Los Angeles Times Lunch Talks, Coffee Talks, and Poolside Chats with some of the biggest names in indie film, the Festival's Artists in Residence, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Erykah Badu and composer Daniele Luppi, will each screen and discuss their film selections.

From star-studded galas with established filmmakers to the best new work from up-and-coming artists, the LA Film Fest is a true celebration of the best in cinema.
