Getting into and around Downtown LA is easier than ever. Metro and DASH stops are convenient to major attractions in DTLA, and Union Station is a hub for Amtrak and Metrolink trains. For even more convenience, you can rent a scooter from companies like Lime, Bird, & Spin, or use Metro Bike Share or FlexLA.
Riding Metro is easy!
With convenient access to Downtown LA from 4 Metro Rail lines - Red, Purple, Gold, and Blue - and hundreds of Metro bus lines, Metro can get you here from just about anywhere in LA County. Day passes are only $7 to ride all Metro-operated rail and bus lines. When you need to get around quickly, DASH is the way to go- and for only 50 cents!
Six routes serve the Downtown area with stops at major tourist and business locations. Weekday hours are every 5-12 minutes and have now expanded until 9pm. Weekend service has now been added as well.
A new way to navigage DTLA - FlexLA. You can get around anywhere in Downtown LA for a flat-rate fare of $2/person per ride. Point-to-point, on-demand, and driven by US military veterans.
Just open the app and hail a ride wherever your are in DTLA, anytime between 4 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Metro Bike Share
You can find dozens of bicycle stations in Downtown LA through Metro Bike Share. All rides are $1.75 every 30 minutes, 24-hour passes are just $5, and you can buy 30-day and annual passes as well.
Purchase with a credit card at any station or online.
In order to ride, you must download the company's app to your phone. Riding on sidewalks is not permitted, and safe riding is strongly encouraged. There are several suggested "parking zones" throughout DTLA, but you are not required to dropoff your scooter in these locations.
Mass transit not your thing? Hail a taxi!
When you board, look for the official City of LA Taxicab Seal. Taxicabs bearing this seal are insured, have trained drivers, and are regularly inspected by the City of LA.
Dodger Stadium Express
Going to a game?
Go Metro to Union Station and connect with the Dodger Stadium Express. You won't have to fight traffic and you'll help reduce air pollution. Best of all, the trip is free with your Dodger ticket! Union Station is served by Metrolink, Amtrak and many Metro and municipal bus lines, plus Metro Rail's Red, Purple and Gold lines. So, it's easy to leave your car at home and connect with the Dodger Stadium Express.
