Pig Pen was founded by four individuals who wanted to shake things up and take American comfort food to the next level. PigPen Delicacy — hence the name — specializes in creating numerous ways of consuming pork-based food along with non-pork options as well. Since opening in 2016 in Santa Ana, California, Pig Pen's dishes have mostly maintained the theme of containing pork, whether it be a pulled pork sandwich or some pork belly fries. Their signature sandwich, and the topic of conversation among foodies who have eaten at Pig Pen, is hands down the Mac Daddy Burger. As the name hints at, the burger features fried mac 'n' cheese as buns that bring the bacon, the cheese, and the 100% beef patty all together.
