Impact Bold: An Art Exhibit by Gabe Gault
REGIME CONTEMPORARY PRESENTS IMPACT BOLD, AN ART EXHIBIT BY GABE GAULT WITH OPENING NIGHT NOVEMBER 14TH 7 to 10 PM.

If everything is emphasized, nothing stands out. In typography, IMPACT BOLD is the font that we associate most with newspaper headlines. Eye catching. Punchy. Newsworthy. As newspapers die out, imagery has replaced typography. Gault's intention with this collection is to embrace the intersection of what the headline says, and who the headline is about. The collection includes people - famous, infamous, newsworthy, or forgotten - who have moved Gault personally. The exhibit can be seen from November 14th to December 7th at The Mayfair Hotel’s Regime Contemporary Gallery in DTLA.
Gabe Gault spent his formative years in Venice Beach, where creativity, popular culture and its colorful residents made a lasting impression. A lifelong artist, in 2011, he began an apprenticeship with noted artist Rob Prior, and discovered his passion for learning through doing. Currently, Gabe is focusing on works for non-profits and with organizations dedicated to making a positive difference. Recent work includes murals for Complex magazine and Nike Air (as one of the five Nike Air artists for 2019), commissions for the Will and Jada Smith Foundation, for Amend (the upcoming Netflix mini-series documentary about the 13th Amendment) and for UCLA's Centennial: 100 Years of Activism show.

ABOUT THE MAYFAIR HOTEL:
The Mayfair Hotel officially re-launched in late 2018 after a multi-million-dollar renovation with all-new world-class accommodations that have been carefully paired with a handpicked collection of art, music, and entertainment. The Mayfair Hotel was artistically curated by Kelly “RISK” Graval along with Kevin Zinger & Ivory Daniel of Regime 72 who hand-picked all the artists to design the artwork that is showcased on each of the hotel floors. Regime 72 also helped put together the hotel’s creative programming, which recalls the glamorous heydays of the 1920s, while also offering visitors an intimate view into the DNA of the city of Los Angeles. All the activations simultaneously highlight the history of The Mayfair and its newly minted social venues, including the M Bar, Library Bar, the Garden Gallery, and the Ballroom.
