The Music Center is a cultural gem in Downtown LA. Catch a performance by the LA Opera, Master Chorale, Philharmonic, and more. The campus has many hidden treasures to see as well. The soothing pools of water on the Music Center Plaza contrast with the exciting fountain called Peace on Earth by Jacques Lipchitz that consists of 280 jets operated by a computer on a 14-minute cycle. Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall features the Blue Ribbon Garden, a secret oasis 34 feet above ground whose trees were hoisted by a 350-ton crane from the street.
