On Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 1,017 people and 537 dogs filled the plaza of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels for the 4th Annual Downtown Dog Day Afternoon. The social canine event of the year attracted dogs of all breeds and their humans for a festive evening of mingling, music, pet-related vendor displays, and great food – all to celebrate our four-legged furry ambassadors who help create the Downtown Los Angeles community.

Downtown
Los Angeles is growing by leaps and bounds. This includes hundreds of
kids that now call Downtown home. We wanted all Downtown kids to have a
fun, safe Halloween in their own backyard, so we were happy to invite
all Downtown LA families to attend our Second Annual Halloween Party
for Downtown LA Kids. This was a wonderful community-building event. Over 500 children and 600 adults attended!
