Founded in 1998, the Downtown Center Business Improvement District (DCBID) is a coalition of approximately 1,200 property, united in their commitment to enhance the quality of life in Downtown Los Angeles. The DCBID provides Economic Development services to attract new business, investment, and residents to Downtown L.A., as well as Marketing services to brand and promote Downtown L.A. to residents, workers and visitors.

Economic Development

The mission of the Economic Development team of the DCBID is to improve and revitalize Downtown Los Angeles. Our community is undergoing a remarkable renaissance, and the Economic Development team is at the forefront of all the exciting events. We have recruited innovative new restaurants, retail and office tenants, and helped to launch key development in Downtown. Whether you're an individual seeking to start your journey in Downtown or a business considering moving here, the Economic Development team is here to serve you and the community.

Saturday Housing Bus Tours:

Given twice a month, this tour is designed to showcase Downtown's many different neighborhoods, including both for-lease and for-sale developments. This tour is ideal for anyone considering living in Downtown.

Friday Business Walking Tour:

Given twice a month, this is an extensive walking tour through Downtown. You will learn about the office, retail and restaurant markets. This tour is ideal for anyone interested in opening a business or moving their office Downtown.

Stats, Demos & Data:

We have compiled an extensive collection of information regarding Downtown, including demographics, housing inventory and major developments.

Fall Program & Tour:

Annually, we give a tour to lenders, commercial and residential brokers, developers, retailers, restaurateurs, entrepreneurs, and anyone considering doing business in Downtown. With the mission of restoring confidence in Downtown, the Fall Program & Tour has been instrumental in recruiting new businesses to Downtown.

Community Programs:

We produce special events to build our community, including Downtown Dog Day Afternoon at the Cathedral and Halloween Party for Downtown Kids.

We provide special tours to businesses and individuals who are interested in opening or moving to Downtown. Services upon request.

The DCBID's Marketing Division brands and promotes Downtown LA to visitors all over the world.
