Event Honors Local Taxi Drivers & Launches Hail-A-Taxi December 5, 2008 - As a kick-off to the Hail-A-Taxi program which allows taxi cabs to stop in "No Stopping" zones while actively picking up or dropping off fares, L.A. Live hosted a "Taxi Driver Appreciation" event on its plaza on December 8th to thank taxi drivers in advance for helping turn Downtown L.A. into a "real downtown" - one where you can hail a taxi.
