Jetset Social is inviting more than 150 travel journalists, from online and traditional media, and professionals from the travel industry, to discuss the latest trends and how social media is changing the journalism landscape. This unique event will feature Johnny Jet, travel expert and founder of JohnnyJet.com, a leading online travel site, James Densmore the celebrity “Go-To Travel Guy” of CTS Travel; Jeff Greif Owner and Editor of TravelSquire.com; Ashley Colburn host of TakeOff on Wealth TV; Lee Abbamonte Travel Writer and Gobal Adventurer, and Stacy Dreyfus Owner of Orchid Worldwide Resorts and Excapes. Moderated by Amy Swift, Founder of SMARTY in Los Angeles.
This unique event will offer an opportunity to bridge the gap between new media and traditional media within the travel sector in a casual environment with speakers, Q&A, hosted cocktails and small bites.
Topics to be discussed will include:
• Why it’s important for traditional media outlets to adopt new media
• Why a social media audience is important when approaching tourism boards and CVB’s, and how to explain it
