2011 Latino Heritage Month
The event, themed “Celebrating a Culture of Hope and Progress” will honor the contributions of three outstanding Latinos including: Salvador Castro, a Mexican American educator and activist; and Cesar Millan, a world-renown dog behavior specialist who is widely known for his television series “Dog Whisperer.” Dodger legend, Fernando Valenzuela will accept the Hope of Los Angeles Award.
Latino Heritage Month celebrates the richness of Latino cultures, musical traditions and contributions to the American experience.
