Last Remaining Seats: 'Rear Window' at the Orpheum Theatre
The L.A Conservancy presents the 25th annual Last Remaining Seats, its signature series of classic films and live entertainment in historic theatres. Opening night will feature the thriller “Rear Window” (1954), starring James Stewart, Grace Kelly, and Thelma Ritter, and directed by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. The evening’s host will be film critic and historian Leonard Maltin, with a pre-show performance by Robert York on the Orpheum's original Mighty Wurlitzer organ. The screening will be at the beautifully restored Orpheum Theatre (1926), celebrating its 85th birthday this year. Tickets go on sale to L.A. Conservancy members at 10am on March 30 and to the general public at 10am on April 13.
