Grand Performances presents free performing arts that reflect the best of global culture and inspire community among the diverse peoples of Los Angeles. For over 20 years, Grand Performances has grown to become the foremost free concert series in LA. Located in Downtown LA's California Plaza, families, seniors, schools, youth groups and others bring picnic dinners to share under the twilight before evening performances. Music, dance, theatre and even film have been presented to audiences that have numbered as high as 6,500 people. Grand Performances has been called "too good to be free" and "the urban experiment that works."
