Chamber Music in Historic Sites
Ida Levin, violin; Peter Stumpf, cello; Anton Nel, piano
Our series of Doheny Soirées comes to a captivating conclusion with an all-French program of Debussy (Piano Trio in g), Ravel (Sonata for violin and cello), and Fauré (Piano Trio in d, Op. 20). This exciting collaboration will unite “a pianist of exceptional sensitivity and stylistic discrimination” (Los Angeles Times) with the “phenomenal ability and prodigious talent” (Sud Ouest) of violinist Ida Levin and Da Camera favorite Peter Stumpf, principal cellist of the L.A. Philharmonic. An evening of Gallic sophistication and delight under the golden Tiffany dome of the Pompeian Room that you won’t want to miss.
