Mi Voz: The Hogar Photo Project
Mi Voz: The Hogar Photo Project is an interactive art, fundraising event that showcases the works and lives of a group of children with special needs at Hogares Luz y Vida, an orphanage in Bogotá, Colombia. This event was inspired by a trip taken by artists and philanthropist Dolce Wang to the orphanage in 2011. Her 10 day photography class yielded a series of inspirational stories and photographs that will be presented at the event. Mi Voz will be an unforgettable evening centered around the lives of these incredible children with the hope of raising funds and support through the Hands Offering Hope Foundation. Sister Valeriana, the woman who developed Hogares Luz y Vida, was awarded the Opus Prize in 2009 for her efforts. Her current most pressing needs are funds for a new school she is building in Bogotá’s Los Cruces neighborhood. To support the Hogares or for more information please visit www.mivozproject.com.
