Children's Storytime: A Polar Express Reading
Chris Van Allsburg's book The Polar Express has been a beloved Christmas story for 25 years, re-introduced to a new generation with the 2004 animated film by the same name. The story tells of a young boy's journey by magical train to the North Pole where he is chosen to greet Santa and receive the first gift of Christmas: a silver sleigh bell. In keeping with the Biltmore's "Silver Bells" holiday theme and in conjunction with the Los Angeles Public Library, we present an exciting reading of this classic tale in our elegantly-decorated Rendezvous Court. Afterward, kids will have a chance to make their own sleigh bell ornament to take home! Homemade gingerbread cookies, milk and hot apple cider will be provided.
Saturday, December 11, 2010, 11:00am-1:00pm in the Rendezvous Court Complimentary admission; limited capacity. Reservations required. Please call (213) 612-1662.
